Owner & Founder
Reese Baloutine
Native Austinite, Reese, has always cherished Central Texas’ natural beauty. With a Master’s in Architecture from Texas Tech, she returned to Austin after traveling extensively.
Her mission is to promote sustainable engagement with the environment, enhancing natural beauty while fostering respectful relationships with clients and nature.
Fun Fact: Before Seedlings, Reese worked as an illustrator on a Mayan archaeology project, a restaurant manager, and an electrician!
Operations & Project Manager
Nikki Ankenman
Nikki credits her rural Minnesota farm upbringing for her appreciation of nature and hand work. She adventured around the world for years before setting in Texas. Nikki runs the day to day operations and projects for Seedlings.
Outside of work you can find her spending time with her family and friends, traveling, running 5ks, or managing projects at home with her partner like building toy planes or painting (and then repainting) the house. Nikki's favorite part of the day is a cup of coffee in the quiet early morning before the sun and the people wake up.
Office Manager/Bookkeeper
Stephanie Nance

Stephanie joined Seedlings in 2020 and is part of the core management team. Aside from admin and bookkeeping , she plays a hand in marketing as social media manager and website editor.
Fun Fact: Stephanie's first job after college was for a swordsmith. Current hobbies include singing with community choir, Panoramic Voices and anything creative she gets her hands into.
Junior Landscape Designer
Priya Radadiya
Priya is the newest member of the Seedlings team and has a bachelors of Architecture and Research. She has experience in rammed earth, modular housing, and bamboo construction.
New to Austin by way of Canada, Priya enjoys traveling and hiking with her husband, painting, and swimming at all the pools of water around these parts.
MEET OUR TEAM
As a native Austinite, Seedlings owner Reese Baloutine has always reveled in Central Texas’ natural beauty, from the limestone cliffs above Lake Austin to the fragrant mountain laurels dotting Barton Creek Preserve. After earning a Master’s degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University, Reese traveled the country and the world but was drawn back to Austin. While volunteering at several local gardens Reese realized that a life spent in the garden was her future. She soaked up as much information as she could working as the Maintenance Manager and Designer for The Austin Groundskeeper then struck out on her own with Seedlings Landscape Design Build. One of her first projects was to create and maintain the garden at Olivia restaurant. Reese’s mission for the company is to help people engage with the environment in a sustainable way, bring natural beauty in to every environment and to create a company focused on a respectful relationship with nature, clients and staff. Fun Facts: Before founding Seedlings, Reese worked as an illustrator on a Mayan archaeology project, a restaurant manager and even an electrician! We’re lucky the garden called to Reese.
Reese Baloutine
Seedlings Owner & Founder
Nikki is the Operations and Project Manager for Seedlings Landscape Design Build. She credits her rural Minnesota farm upbringing for her appreciation of hard work and nature. Like Reese, she traveled and explored for years before settling in Austin and finding Seedlings. Nikki assists in running the day to day operations, including scheduling projects, material deliveries and crews, hiring, estimating and project management. You will often see Nikki out with the crews going over daily plans and making sure everything is moving on schedule. In her former life, Nikki worked as a police dispatch supervisor for 12 years and then spent another 7 years in people management with a vehicle finance company. Outside of work you'll find Nikki with friends and family, participating in a local run, watching a sporting event, or just chilling in a superhero outfit with a morning coffee.
