Role Mission

The Install Lead keeps the install team on task and on schedule, works hands-on in the field, and ensures projects are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to our quality standards. You are the point person on site: planning work, answering questions, solving problems, and keeping communication flowing between the crew and the project manager.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and work alongside the landscape construction crew on projects.

• Manage jobsites to ensure a great client experience and high-quality installation.

• Plan and schedule daily and weekly tasks to meet project deadlines.

• Manage and schedule material deliveries, haul-offs, and subcontractors.

• Ensure work is installed according to plans, specifications, and company standards.

• Lay out and grade sites accurately.

• Maintain a clean, organized truck, trailer, and jobsite.

• Manage tools and material inventories.

• Train, mentor, and upskill crew members; delegate tasks clearly and fairly.

• Track crew time accurately and submit required paperwork and project documentation.

• Take progress and final photos; note damages, changes, and additional work items.

• Communicate proactively with the project manager about progress, issues, and ideas for improvement.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

• Minimum 2 years of construction or landscaping experience.

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or crew lead experience.

• Physically able to lift 70–80 lbs repeatedly throughout the day and work outdoors in varying weather.

• Proven ability to:

  • Read and interpret landscape plans/blueprints.

  • Lay out and grade sites.

  • Drive and maneuver a truck and trailer confidently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in landscape or similar construction (patios, retaining walls, drainage, fencing, masonry, grading, planting).

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and make basic repairs.

• Solid organizational and time-management skills.

• Comfortable using basic technology for time tracking and job documentation.
