Seedlings Landscape Design Build is the premier landscaping company in Austin TX. Since 2009, we’ve been designing, building, and installing outdoor living spaces and landscapes that are as eco-conscious as they are stunning. Here, we believe that you can make the responsible choice and it can be beautiful.
Our uniquely interactive landscapes act as a natural extension of Austin’s local ecology while also being spaces where our clients can connect with nature, others, and themselves.
At Seedlings, our mission is simple: create beautifully unique landscape designs that are good for you and the environment. We’re committed to bringing our clients’ visions to life while always providing the most efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service possible. Our team’s combined experience includes professional contractors, masons, welders, and a Master’s degree in Architecture.

REESE BALOUTINE
As a native Austinite, Seedlings owner Reese Baloutine has always reveled in Central Texas’ natural beauty, from the limestone cliffs above Lake Austin to the fragrant mountain laurels dotting Barton Creek Preserve. After earning a Master’s degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University, Reese traveled the country and the world but was drawn back to Austin. While volunteering at several local gardens Reese realized that a life spent outdoors was her future.
Reese excels at listening to the clients wants and needs and translating that into a beautiful design that they love.
Reese’s mission for the company is to help people engage with the environment in a sustainable way, bring natural beauty in to every environment and to create a company focused on a respectful relationship with nature, clients and staff.

Once we have connected with the client you can count on us to take them from design phase to installation phase, be present if needed for consultations throughout the construction of the home and pinpoint any trade needs for the exterior design. MEET THE TEAM
Our core management team has been together for more than 4 years! This helps us transition smoothly from initial contact to the design process, into the install phase and ultimately to the final touches and clean up. We recently expanded our operations to add a Junior Designer and we are so excited to make our process even more efficient and thorough.
We will meet with you and the client at the client’s site to walk the property, discusses the vision and budget. This meeting typically takes 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
IN PERSON CONSULT
We ask that you email us the property survey, cad drawings & any inspiration photos and/or Pinterest boards of ideas you and the client have discussed.
DOCUMENTATION
Client fills out a questionnaire to determine project scope; a phone call follow up may be included to confirm details.

DESIGN
PROCESS
After reviewing the final design and receiving the 50% deposit, we will begin establishing a timeline and scheduling the installation process.
SCHEDULE INSTALLATION
Scheduled in one to three weeks after the preliminary design meeting. We will review the final designs and installation proposal. Final payment on design phase is due.
FINAL DESIGN REVIEW
Estimated pricing and outline of spacial arrangements is provided before moving into the final design.
PRELIMINARY DESIGN REVIEW
During the meeting we will give the client an estimate for the design time and invoice 50%. Upon approval and payment of the estimate we will schedule a Preliminary Review Design Meeting within two to four weeks.

Before we start construction we have found getting the clients, designer, and project manager together for one last meeting helps ensure we are all on the same page!
Here we go!
Our project manager tries to visit each site 3 to 4 times a week to guide the crew, check progress, and answer questions.
The client will receive weekly emails to update them on the progress of the project and let them know what to expect for the coming week.
An email is sent out towards the end of the project with contact information, watering tips and other important information. We also ask to do one final walk through with the client to answer any questions they may have.
A follow up email is sent out to check in around 7 weeks after project completion.
Nine months after the project has been completed another email is sent out asking the client to check on their landscape and contact us with any issues they may have that we can address.
